The sickly Jovin.....

My dear girl was so unfortunate to be infected with the ongoing flu virus. Tue morning, we were gettting ready to go to work as usual. I just felt that Jovin seemed a bit warmer than usual & she kept coughing. I thought of monitoring her & bringing her to see doctor if her condition persists. Alias, just as I had worn my make-up, getting all set to leave for work, I felt something was really not right as her body was rather warm. We took her temperature, slight fever. But she kept coughing. We decided to take leave & brought her to see doctor. Jovin's padetrician, Dr. Keok told us Jovin must have gotten the flu virus from someone else, causing the phglem in her throat. Yesterday, Jovin was out of sorts whole day. Her milk appetite decreased & not as jovial. This morning, we took her temperature & her fever has gone! We could see that she was back to norm, though her cough still bugged her. She's enjoying her nap right now, while I'm updating the blog. These 2 days of precious moments shared with her really made me realise mummies are great. Kids' health are of the utmost importance in all mummies' hearts. My heart was worrying for Jovin when she fell sick. All my sleepless nights & time effort to take care of her is definitely worth it. Nothing is more reassuring than to see Jovin giving me the broad smile as she usually does.......

Hi, I'm back again after a long break. I guess it's a bit hard to 'siam' this time round as the blog is on Father's Day. Well, I'm the protagonist today.

It's my first Father's Day though I dun feel myself being fatherly and aged.
We had a simple meal at 'Sketches' and surprisingly there are ample seats. This scenario is a stark contrast to Mother'sDay. I guessed Father's Day is not as important as Mother's Day. Then again, the World Cup frenzy is a more likely reason.

After the dinner, we hanged around the shops of Bugis and took some pictures along the way. Though the whole event is simple and plain but I still enjoyed myself nevertheless.

Yawn ... I think my eyelids is just too heavy to go on further. Well, to all great fathers out there, A Happy Father's Day. Yawn .. See you guys again.

Happy Father's Day!

It was a unique Father's day celebration this year. Instead of the usual dining out, we've decided to buy takeaway food from a nearby coffeshop & dine in. Location? Our place! It was indeed a wonderful arrangement cos we had the luxury of eating comfortably & yet able to enjoy delicacies like chilli crab, fried sotong, braised bean curd, wheat prawn etc. It has always been a practice for our family to gather & have small celebrations. There are 4 fathers in our family. See the smiles on all the daddies' faces? All look so blissful with their kids..... Jovin happily played with my dad & my niece & nephews. Think she really enjoyed a lot. Though the kids almost turned my toys room upside down, but they've indeed brought lots of joy to Jovin as well as to all of us. It's so amusing to see her crawling all over the house & laughing & drooling as she was playing. It's the first time James is celebrating this special day as a father himself. Guess it really makes a remarkable difference. Well, we are having our mini father's day celebration tomorrow & will leave the updating to Daddy James tomorrow.......

Home Alone With Jovin!

I had wanted to blog this on Sun nite but there seems to be some problems with the uploading. Weekdays have never been an easy task for me to update cos very shagged out after a long weary day in office. Last Sun James had to work. It was raining heavily, so I couldn't bring jovin to meet James either. I spent time as a full-time home-maker playing & interacting with my princess. Hehe, most importantly of all, I gave James a big surprise when I cooked him a sumptous meal. Really wondered how could I have managed with Jovin actively crawling around. Basically, I just tied her to the stroller. Placed many flash cards in fromt of her & she was just right in front of me as I see her through the kitchen glass door as I was cooking. James was real astonished I was able to do all these during his absence. Jovin had a great time with mummy today. See how she enjoyed herself in her own playroom. While she's happily rolling, crawling, standing up by herself with support, this mummy of hers is busy capturing all these memorable shots.....Suddenly I realise... My sweetheart has grown!

Toys Fair At Taka!

Sometimes we really land in a situation such that we realise there's no places for us to 'lobo' our time. This Sat, we decided to shop around at Taka as we heard there's an ongoing toys fair at the basement level. To our surprise, there wasn't much traffic compared to the usual traffic flow we experienced previously. Think the soccer fever has really pulled the crowds away. Hehe, James & I are not soccer fans :) Jovin was wide awake when we reached there & she had a enjoyable ride on the Pooh Bear. She was amusing herself all the way as she rocked the bear to and fro. James & I had a fun time looking at her. Well, there wasn't really many toys as the name depicted. We returned empty-handed but I bet Jovin enjoyed herself. The best thing was, she slept soudly soon after she had her last milk feed for her day. Guess, she's too tired but that makes things so much easier for us cos we were able to sleep early too :) Guess what, she slept through till 9a.m this morning!

End of Messy Meal Times!

Hehe, it's really a great relief using this 'KL IMPORTED' bib. It really saved me a lot of trouble & provided much convenience when it comes to feeding Jovin. To my surprise, she did not resist in putting on this gigantic bib & loves the elephant cartoon character on it. My darling had spinach & carrot porridge today. Her favorite is sweet potatoes, but I would try to vary my menu so as to provide her with wide-ranging tastes :) Well, I only have weekends to cook for her but many thks to my mother-in-law who cooks wonderful porridge for her during weekdays. Jovin is able to hold her bottle nowadays, but depending on her mood at times. Hm, babies do have mood swings too! She has been using training cup, crawling at an unexpectedly fast rate. Most importantly of all, able to stand with support. Nowadays, she can't sit still in the cot cos she loves to stand up easily in it. Guess my safest place for her is the ballgym where there's 300 colorful balls entertaining her. Happy to see her growing healthily day by day. Now what I yearn most is for her to call me' mummy'. Awaiting.......
