Our Enjoyable Weekend!

Part 1: Family Outing @ Toa Payoh

The House of 'Js' just couldn't stay at home, hehe actually is mummy. So we went to Toa Payoh neighbourhood for dinner. It was actually almost 8p.m when we reached there. We settled for a simple danner at the nearby food court. We ordered Chicken Teriyaki Ramen for Jovin and she simply loved it from her expression. She was so afraid that James and myself would fight with her for the ramen, hehe. After dinner, we happened to come across toy car rides which charge $3/15min. Wow, so easy money! Well, to satisfy our princess, we let her have a go at it on the motorbike. She wasn't really too familiar with the directions, so keep ending up in mery-go-round or bumping into some kerb. Poor daddy had to follow her and be her body guard throughout the 15mins whereas mummy happily stood aside with Jovan enjoying his thumb sucking session. Our dear girl really enjoyed herself a lot and she was so happy when she got a toy car and a sweet from the business owner after the ride.

Part 2: Meet-Up with Our Best Couple Friends

It has been almost a month since our best couple friends met our 2 little 'Js'.The 2 husbands were so eager to meet up too (though we actually just met last Fri for movie), so the link-up was finally established. We met around 10p.m at J8 Cafe Cartel. Both of them found Jovan really irresitably chubby hehe. Well, we received similar comments when we were at Toa Payoh earlier on. Our little Jovan managed to attract quite a no. of passer- bys' attention with his 'killer' chubbiness. Jovin happily sat with Tingting and 'stole' some waffle ice-cream from her. She was very happy with the 2 of them and the most hilarious thing was, we jokingly told Jovin to address Junwei as 'AH PEK' and she really did it and kept repeating non-stop even when we were already on our way home! On our car ride home, she kept asking me where did AH PEK go? Haha sorry brother, looks like Jovin has a fantastic memory! We had a great chat with them over our impending Japan plans. They would be going too but would be joining a package tour in Oct whereas we are going for free and easy in early Nov. Haha the 2 husbands actually were trying means and ways to coincide our Japan trip but it's fated hehe. The schedules just can't accomodate each other. Both of them are just afraid that the wives would go crazy at the factory outlets. Sorry too bad, your fates are sealed :) It's always enjoyable with the 2 of them. Our next link up would be National day weekend at their place since next weekend we would be happily shopping at KL! Hip Hip Hurray!

Chrus's 9th Birthday!

On Thur night, we had an earlier birthday celebration for my nephew Chrus at my mum's place. It was like a mini buffet with mum's delicacies like fried longevity noodles, fried fish, chicken wings etc. Time really flies. Still remembered Chrus was only a chubby little baby like Jovan today and he's already 9! We had a cosy and warm birthday celebration for him and the kids were the happiest and most excited especially during candle blowing. Jovin was an expert when it came to singing of birthday songs. The cake was Blueberry rum from Pine Garden. Very delicious and our dear Jovin loved every bit of it whereas poor Jovan could only drool..... Chrus received LEGO for all his birthday presents as we knew he's an ardent LEGO fan. My dear Chrus, stay obedient and pleasant as you have always been. Happy Birthday :)

Roll! Roll! Rolled Over!

3 cheers to our baby Jovan! He's finally suceeded in rolling over last Wed nite! Ever since then, he has been so swift in his rolling actions that we can't possibly leave him alone on bed or sofa as he's now so versatile in his rolling actions! Jovin loves to encourage her baby brother too as she always says 'jiayou' to encourage Jovan. Jovan is getting chubbier and his rosy cheeks are really sooooo.. irresistable! Haha! Nowadays, he loves to chuckle the moment we tickle him or he sees himself in the mirrow. He always breaks out into giggles and big laughters which amuse us. However, the most'disgusting' act is his finger sucking! We are sooo terrified of him sweeping his hands filled with saliva onto our faces. We have to keep wiping, santising etc..... In all, Jovan has brought us so much fun and laughter just like Jovin :) We are blessed to have these 2 cuties with us :)

Rewards on the way!

Hmmm, very motivated at work these days as I count down to my rewards... Well u must be wondering what rewards? Before delivery, I 'extorted' a Tokyo trip from my dearest hubby and he promised especially I've gone through so much to deliver Jovin and Jovan. My dream is going to be materialised soon! Hehe apart from that, last minute insertion! I demanded a KL trip and we are going there on 1 Aug with our little Jovin. Just in time to catch the MEGA SALE! James was very reluctant intially but told him I needed a short break so he finally relented hehe. We got Jovin a new passport too as her photo was last taken when she was 8 months old. Erm we did not want to run the risk of her not being granted access. So I'd rather took the trouble and applied for a new passport for her with her updated photo. Next weekend, gonna pack for the 3 of us. Little Jovan is too young but will definitely get loads of things for him. Oh yeah, another major event to count down is our impending Tokyo trip tentatively set from 31 Oct - 6 Nov. We are going for Free n Easy! Of course, will do the planning myself. Luckily I have wonderful friends who would plan a timetable for me based on my wishes and really thankful for these friends. We would be getting tickets from Chan Brothers and book hotel through internet based on my brother's recommendation. Erm, so excited.... This round, James and I would be going alone as we felt that the kids are really too young but we promised to bring them along when Jovin turns 5. Moreover, this trip marks our wedding anniversary too! Will defintely bring much things for our 2 'Js' to compensate them. Yippee, starting to count down!

Little Vivian No. 2!

So happy for my good pal Vivian! Her 2nd princess finally arrived on 16 Jul 08!She's really tiny, even smaller than Jovan and weighed only at 2.56kg! The princess was sleeping soundly when I visited my dear friend. Oh she really had much hair unlike my 2 kids hehe who don't have much hair. Vivian looked great though her wound was hurting. Thought she didn't use epidural but she told me really can't tahan though it was around 4 hrs+. Haha, she couldn't understand why I could tahan the labour pain for both my deliveries. Well, perhaps my pain threshold was really higher? Or my hubby's support was really so solid that it enabled me to endure ALL THE WAY hehe.... For the past few days, Vivian had been smsing me on her contractions etc. In the labour ward, about 2 hrs before her delivery, she was still smsing me! My hubby was teasing me that I seem to be her relative more than her friend. Of course lah! Vivian is one of my best pals. We got married in the same year and our kids are close in age gap. More common topics to share with her in the years ahead.
Vivian, have a good rest and enjoy your confinement. Enjoy pumping milk these 3 months! Don't give up as what I've told u, k? My line is always open for u hehe....

Ups & Downs of Parenthood

Have been so busy last weekend and worrisome, mainly due to Jovin's illness. Last Sun, she was down with stomach flu which she last gotten in 2006. I was so worried for her when she vomitted milk and subsequently even water. James rushed him to the Bishan clinic as the usual PD clinic we visit is not open on Sun. Jovin couldn't take in food that day, but my heart really pained when I saw her so hungry and requesting for milk. However, doctor advised us to refrain her from drinking milk till her symptoms subside. James left Jovin with my mum that day as stomach flu is contagious. We were worried Jovan might get it. Ever since Jovan last developed bronchitis and got infected through Jovin, we really didn't dare to take anymore risks. For Sun nite, we left Jovin in my mum-in-law's good hands. Though I really don't bear to, but I thought this would benefit both my kids. Mon, Jovin recovered and she was her usual active self, regaining her appetite. It was a great relief to me. As a mother of 2 kids, I really understood the pains that parents have to undergo. We have to worry constantly for our kids. When Jovan was down, James and I were rushing around to bring him to PDs, reviews etc. When Jovin was down, we were worried too if her stomach flu would worsen, how would it affect her appetite etc. Thousands of worries and uncertaintly was in my mind. When Jovan recovered, we were so happy. However, weeks later, our little Jovin was down too. Not easy to be parents. Our wish is for both our 'Js' to be healthy happy little growing kiddies. No matter how much James and I will undergo, we feel that all is worth it as long as our kids are happy. Kids are priceless gifts to the parents, I agree....

An Unexpected Outcome!

Yesterday, James really made a BIG blunder. We were supposed to attend Weifeng's younger son's 1 year old bash at Coasta Sands. All of us were dressed up and we left happily around 6p.m. However, the blur daddy did not read the sms properly and the traffic was rather congested too. Around 7.30 p.m, James thought he has reached the place and was even all ready to park. However, I told him the BBQ pit stated 'H' and I don't seem to see any units H around. He realised then there were actually 2 Coasta Sands resort when I told him there's another one at Pasir Ris. We were really too hungry then and James wasn't very familiar with the roads. After weighing the pros and cons, he decided to give it a miss. Sigh, so apologetic towards our friend. Think Dear better don't be a cab driver upon his retirement else he's bound to receive complaints from passengers due to road unfamiliarity haha!

As a result, we had dinner at Long Beach restaurant. Unexpectedly, the food was served in a jiffy. We ordered honey chicken, stir fry vegetables and fish maw seafood soup. Jovan was happily sleeping after his milk and Jovin was a real gourmet. She actually 'snatched ' the fish maw soup from us! She also knew that the soup was very tasty and even wanted the whole bowl to herself!

Mummy: Jovin, do u like this soup or nai nai's soup? Jovin: (WITH NO HESITATION!) This soup!!!

Oh no, my mother-in-law will sure whack her for being so ungrateful hehe! The soup was real tasty that we even had the urge to order another serving. However we managed to resist the temptation. After the main course, James and I went for a stroll at the nearby games arcade and park near Macdonalds.

Daddy: (pointing to Ronald Macdonalds)Jovin, who is this?Jovin: Daddy! Hahaha......
Mummy: Jovin, are u sure he's Daddy?
Jovin: Yes!
Daddy: Grrrrrrrr....

We carried Jovan out from the stroller and his little eyes was srutinising through the surroundings. He is still too young to enjoy like Jovin at this stage but when we placed him beside Jovin in rides etc., he burst out into chuckles. Guess he enjoyed too :)

We had late night dessert at a Hongkong cafe. Jovin enjoyed the ginger steamed egg and was snatching with daddy! Told James we need to factor in this glutton in future as she has been pinching on our food. Jovan had his final feed in the cafe and it was already around 11.30p.m when we left. On the car ride home, 3 of us were knocked out flat. It was a really unexpected outcome. However, I think it's a positive outcome too. Though we didn't make it to the birthday party, we enjoyed ourselves at East Coast too. A sweet blunder :)

Just A bit More... Little Jovan

Since Jovan has recovered from his illness last week, he has become ever more active and liveliness. He has been trying real hard in flipping especially this week. However, he has yet to complete his flip achievement. Always stuck halfway througyh which really made him agitated and frustrated. Daddy and Mummy always have to help him complete his flip. Never mind, our dear. You are already doing very well. Guess you should be able to do it in another week's time. In the meanwhile, Jovan still enjoys and prefers doing his mini push-ups :)Perhaps not so strenous for him.....
