Pre-Chalet.....

It has really been AGES since I last gone on a chalet, not to mention with family. From tomorrow onwards, we are going for a 3D2N chalet at NSRCC @ Tanah Merah. It's a 2-storey bungalow and my whole family will be there. Yes.... My 4 little darlings (aka monsters hehe) will be there to spend the 2 nites together... The kids are all so excited and thrilled about the idea. I've packed so much as I need to cater to my little one's needs. I've always loved family gatherings. Actually, know it's gonna be chaos with the 4 of them running around. But from another angle, this is called family bliss too. It's great to have the whole extended family going on a chalet together. Looking forward to the stay there. We will swim, have fun at the beach, ride bicycle, MAC breakfast etc... Stay tuned!

1st attempt at Craftwork!

These are 2 pieces of handicraft work which Jovin had a hand in it during her past 2 lessons. She enjoyed the session as Teacher Ho took her little hands in painting and coluring. Jovin loved the feeling as she sat down attentively following the teacher's instructions. I've started to display some of my little one's 'hard work' at home and in the office. I really found it to be so meaningful.... My girl has grown up!

4 Little Darlings of My life

I've been a kids lover since teenage days. Perhaps the birth of my favourite niece, Crystal has indeed brought me positive influences upon child birth. I do have many friends around me who ask me if I ever regret having Jovin so shortly after my wedidng. My answer is a firm 'NO'! James & I do agree Jovin has brought us much laughter & joy than nothing else could ever replace. I always tell my friends I have 4 little darlings as well as monsters in my current life. James is the old monster, so shall cast him aside haha! My dearest Jovin & niece/nephews really make my day. I believe the 4 of them will be very close to one another as they see each other almost everyday. they go play, dine, go through scoldings by my mum together etc. I'm always proud to say I have very strong kinship ties, especially with my siblings. Look at the photos of these 4 little monsters... Naughty, cheeky yet just so adorable.... Kids really complete one's life.

Jovin started schooling!

Last Saturday was indeed an unforgettable & eventful day for Little Jovin. We enrolled Jovin for a weekend playgroup in Little Wiggles @ AMK Hub. It's conducted every Sat & lasts 1.5 hrs per session. I've actually been in active search for suitable playgroup for my little one taking into consideration location, timing etc. We decided to let Jovin have a try at Little Wiggles. The class starts at 1p.m & takes in a maximum capacity of 10 students who are all born in 2005. Jovin was the youngest but she's one of the tallest. Few kids were wailing even though parents were allowed to be there. As expected, our little Jovin was daring and sociable enough to go around making friends, playing toys etc. Think she's really inherited my genes hehe... There were 2 teachers - English & Chinese. The session included sing-a-long sesions, story-telling, puppet performance, toys playing, break time, toilet training etc. Jovin enjoyed the sing-along sessions best as she stood up and danced with the rest. Of course, her favourite moment was eating as well. She happily ate the biscuits and used the new water bottle I bought for her.

The most unforgettable moment was the flower-making session. Of course, what can u expect a 18 mth old to do? But I was already so touched when Jovin sat there attentively looking at the teacher as she did up the flower. She helped by applying some glitters on the flower. Really so happy that I got my 1st Mother's Day Present! Now the flower is proudly displayed in my office with the note stating 'Happy Mother's Day with Love From Jovin'.

James & I were glad that Jovin enjoyed the session. We just hope that she can have more interactive sessions with kids of similar age group. Moreover, with her outgoing nature, I guess she prefers going there to staying indoors. Out rationale is for her to enjoy learning as we do not want to see a miserable Jovin. We prefer to enrol Jovin in activities which she will enjoy rather than stressing her into doing something she doesn't want. We shall see what happens tomorrow, her 2nd lesson. If she continues to show positive response, we will continue to enrol her in the class. Believe it 's creative way of learning exposure for her as well :)

Pre-Mother's Day Celebration!

I've been facing problems logging into the system since my last update, thus the delay in updating. Almost forgotten what had taken place as it's been almost 3 weeks!
Still remember a week before Mother's Day, we went to AMK Hub & had a simple lunch celebration for my mother-in-law. We had lunch at a Chinese restaurant called Dian Xiao Er. Well, there weren't many dishes actually but the dishes were palatable & appetising. Little Jovin was happily enjoying herself over lunch too especially with us feeding her some dishes like vegetables, eggs and beancurd. My mother-in-law was so pleased especially with Little Jovin around. With busy working schedules, it's really difficult to gather all together for a hearty meal. Could see that my in laws were very happy that day. Actually really count myself lucky as I think I indeed have a very good mother-in-law who willingly resigned from her job and offers to take care of Jovin for me. We always think that, Jovin is really fortunate to be doted by both sides of our families, especially our parents. Without our parental support, think James & I really won't have so much freedom & couple time after Jovin's birth. A big thank you to our parents...
