Last weekend, the House of 'Js' were busy entertaining our guests cos it was our little Princess Jovin's 2 year old birthday party! We decided to keep it within our dearest ones and held 2 sessions - Sat and Sun. These 2 groups are James's uni frens and our JC Pals. We thought it was a great get-together session and more manageable too. This time round, we prepared some food, put up some simple decor with colourful balloons. Haha James still remembered the tedious decor we put up for her 1 year old birthday when we stayed up till 4a.m!
Both our groups had more time and had much fun ineracting with our 'star' for the day. For both days, Jovin amused and entertained all with her dance steps and baby singing. Of course, she was quick witted enough and made use of her big day to help herself to all the great food, especially cold drinks and ice cream...... which we usually put a BIG BAN to it. On Sun, our families were here to join in the fun as well. So Jovin had even much more fun with all her beloved cousins Crystal, Chrus and Jerad around. They almost tore my playroom down especially in the ball pool! My mum and in-laws were happily exchanging their generation conversation and James and myself had our free time in interacting and catching up with our pals.
Jovin was happily standing and posing in front of her Tweety Bird birthday cake when we were getting the candles ready. I think she knew it was HER day. She posed there like a star and happily sang and clapped her hands as all sang the birthday song for her. Her way of blowing the candles really amused everyone. She tried hard to blow but perhaps not enough strength, so couldn't really do it until we helped her. Our guests, including our little Jovin helped themselves heartily to the cake and both sessions ended around 7 p.m. Our little one forgone her nap due to the parties and for Sun, especially, she dozed off while I was feeding her porridge! However, as I woke her up for a shower, she became more energized and went ahead with the present unwrapping and loves the new colourful and fascinating gifts. Thks to all our dearest friends and families who really lavished on her. Our Jovin 'knocked off' at 8 p.m on Sun and slept throughout! James and I were dead worn out after the cleaning up too but we were gald the 2 sessions were successful and our girl was happy playing with the guests and kids.
Today is her actual birthday! We took leave and had planned a day out. Getting ready now. Got to pen off. Will update in my blog again :)
