Sickly Bugs...
For the past week, have not been getting ample rest. Jovan was down with fever on Monday night. Intially, we gave him normal paracetamol, thinking it would subside soon. However, our dear boy did not recover. On Tue night, his condition worsened and he was totally listless. Nothing could cheer him up, not to mention his favourite HI-5 DVDs. He only clung onto me and nobody else. As his temperature shot up to 38.7, I immediately brought him to my Bishan trusted family doctor forgoing my dinner cos my boy matters to me more than anything else.
It was very windy and dear couldn't rush back in time. So I cuddled Jovan and walked hurriedly to the clinic, fearing it might rain any moment. He was feeling so feverish and could see his reddish cheeks due to the high temperature. At the clinic, he was very sleepy and only wanted to be cuddled by me. When it was Jovan's turn, doctor diagnosed him as 39.6 deg celsius, my goodness! She had to insert a 'bullet' in him to bring down the temperature and had to take antibiotics.
It was almost 9p.m when dear rushed over and we immediately rushed home for hie medication. For the past few nights, I have been waking up every 2-3 hours to monitor his temperature to ensure it was under control. I cleansed him with cold towel and put on the cool fever pad to bring down his temperature.Since Thursday, our dear boy has once again regained his normal self, but developed cough and phglem instead which was rather bad. However, he's now watching HI-5 and jumping actively as his usual self which puts my heart more at ease.
Gonna take him to the doctor tomorrow again for the cough medicine cos we have run out and yet, he has yet to recover. He has been very strong and we actually realised he last fell sick 7 months ago.We are certain he would soon recover from these sickly bugs and continue with his HI-5 dance movements.
Dear Jovan, get well soon :)
