Proud of our dearest Jovin!
I am really elated today! Jovin's English teacher told me that Jovin is among the few students who scored full marks for her recent oral and picture discussion assessment. Teacher commented Jovin recited the passage very well with good accentuated pronunciation. She was able to articulate the details in the picture very well too. So dear and I decided to reward our girl and bought her a playdough set to complement her existing ones.
This truly comes as an early birthday present for me. Thank you my dear princess! Mummy is indeed proud of you. Do keep up the good performance!

House of 'J's exclusive interview!
We were really surprised when we saw our family photos published on Changi Village Hotel's monthly newsletter 'Village Voices'. We were casually interviewed during our March holiday stay at the hotel. The photos were well taken which depicted the blissful looks on our face. Free publicity for us :)

Need a break, going bonkers!!!
Have been really busy this period since Term 2. Time has never seem to be enough. Have been working late the past few weekends over setting of exam papers, juggling with course assignments, arrowed to do a major presentation in May. As a working mother, still gotta manage Jovin's schoolwork. My dear princess recently had her first modular assessment. Among the 3 subjects, she really inherited my genes, scored the highest in Chinese, despite more time and attention was given to English and Maths. Really feel like splitting myself into several parts so that I can handle matters concurrently.
Enough talk about work. So after a thorough discussion with dear, we decided to stick to original vacation plan in Jun since our reno would not start till early Jul. so there's nothing to oversee during Jun period. What's more, year end's climate conditions would not be so favourable to our family knowing my hubby who really can't take coldness. So we went ahead to book our tour!
We were deciding between free & easy and package tour to Taiwan. However the package itinerary is long and doesn't appeal to us. Finally, after a thorough decision making process, we decided to settle for F&E with CTC. We managed to secure hotel and flight tickets, arranged for the necessary airport transfer through agency. We would be going on a 6D5N trip with 2 nights stay at Gaoxiong. Railway passes are already included and the best part is, my Taiwanese colleague would be able to meet us at the Gaoxiong station. So, our problems are resolved as he would drive us to the hotel where the EDA theme park is!
Dear and I look forward to this trip earnestly as the kids since it has been 6 years since our last visit with our best pals. It's our first time to the theme park too and we plan to go Danshui, wufenpu etc. Our mouths are starting to drool from this moment haha.....
Dear would be doing the planning this time round, so exciting! Our little 'J's are asking us every now and then when are we taking the flight to Taiwan haha... So my motivation to work for the next 2 months ahead is the long awaited 豪大大鸡排、珍珠奶茶、阿宗面线、淡水etc. Of course, not forgetting our 2 days of fun at the theme park!
Taiwan, await us on 11 Jun!

Fun Photo Shoot with the Mascots!
We made a family date with our best pals and went to the educationla fair held at S'pore Expo 2 weekends ago. This was the first time we visited the fair. It was really huge, with lots of activities, games, freebies and free photo shoots with various interesting mascots!
Most importantly, we checked out the Meet-and-Greet Ben-10 sessions in advance and were very prompt, waited earnestly for Jovan's idol Ben-10 to appear at the Starhub booth. We reached there about half an hour before meeting Ben-10. The kids had fun games at the Spin-and-Win. Guess what?
Jovin won a gigantic Ben-10 pen for Jovan and he was elated! We soon spotted some greenish gigantic mascot approaching and it was Ben-10! Jovan was the first in queue. It was all our first time meeting Ben-10 in person! Jovan was soooo excited and took 2 memorable shots with him.
We also had instant free MILO photo shoot and polaroid shots. The kids had fun at playing jigsaw, mini basket ball, tattoos etc. Jovin even had a beautiful piece of craft work done at the fair!
Jovan was especially cooperative that day, took many shoots with the various mascots which we couldn't even name some! It was really tough getting Kaden with the little 'J's in the shots, managed to get one precious shot though.
We managed to secure some bargain items from the fair like MILO packets. When I wanted to get more, they were all gone! Besides, got several brochures which provided insightful info for the kids' enrichment classes and got a free voucher to a studio shoot session!
Had a wonderful time. The kids were as happy as me as they got to eat, play and see so many mascots. What's more, they got lots of ballooons. It's indeed a fun and meaningful event. Hope that the SMARTKIDS Asia Fair will be back next year!
