Jovin's 1st Day At School
It's a brand new beginning for our princess Jovin today. It's her first day at school! Daddy and Mummy were more excited than her. We reached the educare centre around 9a.m and it was fully packed with kiddies. There were a couple who were wailing and there was one who needed the teacher to cuddle him as he was still very young and desperately looking for his parents. Teachers had a hard time coaxing the toddler. Well, Jovin performed well in our eyes. She did not kick up any fuss and joined in the class, playing with the block stacking, listening to teachers etc. James and I left around 9.30a.m and returned around 11a.m to check on her progress. She just had her shower and we saw her taking her own porridge for lunch. Teachers commented she was very sociable and adaptable considering she's 26 months old. James and I had anticipated our girl should be able to adapt to the life there as she loves making new friends. The only fear was to adjust her to an earlier bed routine as she's used to keeping late nights. As this was only the first day, we decided to bring her back at noon after lunch. Tomorrow, I shall further extend her by fetching her after her nap around 3 and gradually adapt her to 5 p.m. Hopefully everything goes well for our little Jovin.....
Hubby's 31st Birthday!
After fetching Jovin from school, guess what? we headed straight home for a nap as hubby was unfortunately down with bad running nose. Ya of all days, poor him...... It was raining heavily too and the house of 'Js' had a cosy nap. It was around 4 when we woke up and Dear actually felt much better after taking some medication and nap. We headed for Bugis Junction and had a simple dinner at a Chinese restaurant called Nanxiang Dumpling Shanghainese restaurant. Well, the food was average, I would say. But some dishes are rather appetizing. At least I know little Jovin loved the noodles and she shared half the bowl with me! We had dumplings, xiaolongbao, sweet bean paste pancakes, pumpkin cakes etc. Jovin enjoyed the meal as there was so much she could endeavour hehe. We took a quick shop and Dear bought a new casual shirt for himself as CNY is nearing too. He commented this was the best year cos he needn't go round shopping for new year clothes with me since I'm in such advanced stage this year. Grrrr... Next year, I will pay him back haha! I bought a cake for dear and we headed for my mum's place and all my family members were there to sing the birthday song for him and Dear was so embarassed cos e said that was really the first time when so many people sang for him... The kids were thrilled as they are happy at all birthdays as long as they can sing and have the cakes to eat. That's kids...U must be wondering what's my gift for huby rite? Bought him a Nintendo WII set and we have been hooked onto playing the games especially tennis. Guess we would stay indoors this weekend to enjoy the games. In all, we had a simple 31st birthday celebration for my dear James this year. Looking forward to mine in end Apr when the little one would have arrived.....
