Happy Father's Day!

We had a simple Father's Day for James over the last weekend. The House of 'J's had dinner at Jack's Place restaurant on Sat. Luckily we were early before 7p.m as the place was packed with people by around 7.30p.m. Both James and I had the Father's Day special set @ $27++ each which comprised of appetizer, soup, main course (choice of salmon, steak or lobster with chicken), dessert and coffee/tea. We ordered a kids meal set for Jovin whereas Jovan was enjoying in the pram as usual. Jovin loved the sausages and sunny side up. She wanted more fries but of course, I told daddy to finish most of her portion cos fries are not so healthy after all but should let the kids indulge once in a while. We felt that the meal was rather appetizing though a bit pricey though considering the portion but it's ok though since we don't do it often. On Sun evening, we went to the nearby Sembawang Park. It was a long stroll for us and Jovin soon complained of tiredness and asked daddy to carry her. Haha considering her weight of 12.4kg now, it's not an easy feat. Mummy happily pushed Jovan in the pram. There were many people at the park too and Jovin loved the playground. James had fun running and fussing around her too. Our little princess almost went wild with the slides, see saw etc. As for Jovan, he was so comfortable with the breeze that he fell asleep haha. It was almost 7.30p.m as we strolled our way home. We had a simple dinner at the coffeeshop below our block therafter.

It's the 3rd Father's Day for James this year. However, it's the first year he's experiencing the feeling as a proud father of 2 kids. Erm, does he qualify as a good daddy in my eyes? DEFINITELY NEEDLESS TO SAY!!! Though James is real busy at work and does loses his temper with the kids at times, I know he's really trying hard too to mingle and bond with our 2 'Js', knowing he always don't have much time for the kids considering his busy work schedule. He always tells me he really needs to put in lots of effort to garner the kids towards him. Haha... I think u need to try REALLLLL hard dear. Whenever he asks Jovin who she loves, her reply will always be mummy without fail though he can be carrying her and walking so tiredly haha. James said he wants to work hard on Jovan now since he's still young. Well, try your best dear but I think it's a hard core fact that mummies are always dearer than daddies in kids's hearts. But Dear, just wanna let u know U are doing well as a father. Continue to work hard at the kids :)
