Last Sun afternoon, we went to Yuling's 2nd boy, Javier's full month celebration. Well, we were the last to arrive hehe but understandable considering the fact we need to prepare the 2 kids. We were happy to meet our JC CLDDS mates as we haven't seen most of them since Jovan's full month celebration in March. Jovin was very happy and she interacted with some other kids there and had lots of fun with the balloons and ran around. As for Jovan, he made a lasting impression on most guests with his chubbiness and yelling. Jovan was about 1.5 months younger than Lijuan's Chloe but he looked sturdier than the gentle baby girl. When we placed both of them facing each other trying to get them 'engage' in baby talk, our Jovan 'scared' Chloe off and she burst into tears. Oh My! Little Jovan was too powerful. Boys are boys.....We took a peep at baby Javier who was sleeping soundly in his mummy's arms. He looked so tiny weeny compared to our Jovan. However, come to think of it, Jovan (2.65kg) was so much lighter than Javier(3.3kg) at birth weight!Everyone asked us what I had been feeding Jovan. I said all he took was milk and water except for recent inclusion of cereal and porridge! All I can say is, he's got a good appetite! We were among the last who left too and Jovin took most of the balloon decor home. She put a balloon crown on didi's head and it was really hilarious haha! Look at the photos and u'll know what I mean :)
Part 2: Fri 5 Sep 08
We had a real babies' nite last evening at Globetrotters restaurant. James's JC classmate, Fulong was back to Singapore for a 1-week break as he's currently working in Shanghai. As such, we decided to meet up with this long-time pal of ours. It was no easy feat as there were 8 adults and 6 toddlers/babies! I suggested Globetrotters knowing there's a play-area which can entertain our elder kids who are all 3! As for our younger ones, Weifeng and Fulong's have turned one and ours is 6 months old so all these 3 need more attention and were in prams. Jovin and Weifeng's son had a real fun time and they clicked very well with each other. There were momments of dispute though when they were fussing and snatching toys and Jovin even shed crocodile tears. However, the 2 soon patched back and acted as though they were best of pals. Fulong's son was still rather reserved, so he did not join the 2 'tyrants' in the play area. While the 2 were inside, we had our dinner while still having to take care of the younger ones. Poh Soon and Lee Wen were happily helping us to entertain the kids at times too. I ordered salad so as to facilitate easier eating while haivng to carry Jovan. Finally, after some coaxing, he fell asleep and we got to enjoy some moments of peace and chatted with our pals. It wasn't an easy feat bringing all the 6 kids out but we enjoyed it nevertheless. The most hilarious sight was, Jovin and Weifeng's son were almost inseparable when we wanted to leave. They ran round the mall and the 2 daddies had to chase after the 2 kids from Toysrus to washroom etc, leading them in circles, haha! Bet they never thought there would be such a day when we were all still schooling in JC.... Time really flies and now, oue 2nd generations are interacting, really gotta admit we are getting old. We left at about 10p.m. Not sure when we can meet again, perhaps Chinese New Year when Fulong will come back again for the vacation. By then, Jovan would be one of the noisy contributors too as he would be approaching one then... Guess it's best for all our gatherings to be at somebody's place or we defintely need to book an exclusive VIP room when we dine out. A rewarding experience and enjoyable night and definitely agreeable by my little Jovin :)
