Part 1 - Sun 9th Dec 07
Last Sun 9th of Dec, we had a birthday celebration for my mum at Dragon Gate Restaurant at Harbour Front City. We reached the restaurant around 11.30p.m and realised the restaurant was already fully packed! It was a dim-sum buffet lunch from 11a.m till 3p.m. um didn't want a lavish birthday celebration though 60th is considered a high key event for Chinese. So we decided to make it an intimate family affair. The food was only considered average for it's pricing. However, we needed to wait for quite a while before the dishes were served. Jovin loved the fried noodles which the rest of us didn't really fancy haha cos it was very plain but she could help herself to 2 bowls! We left the place around 3 and headed for IKEA Alexandra. We wanted to get Mum a new set of dining table, so we brought her there. After some deliberation, she finally cast her eyes upon a set reasonably priced at $400+ including chairs. The 4 kids were happy enjoying themselves to the fullest, running widly around the kids area, almost out of my control. James and I brought Jovin to the carpet area and we bought a brand new carpet to replace the current one. By then, Jovin was enjoying her beauty sleep in her pram after her milk. We were dead tired then too and all fell asleep as James drove us back. It was a happy family gathering nonetheless cos it really binded all of us together......
Part 2 - Mon 10th Dec 07
Mon was my darling niece Crystal's 10th year old birthday. Considering her approaching teens, I bought her a FILA bag and she really loves it. Every year, we would have a combined birthday celebration for Crystal and mum. This year, no exception. Sis bought a birthday cake and all of us sang the birthday song twice for the 2 birthday stars. As we sang, Jovin happily sand and clapped her hands as if it was her birthday hehe. We told mum we would take a professional family shoot at the studio when my little boy is born so that it would then be a complete family portrait. Looking forward to that. Happy birthday to my dearest mum and Crystal :)
