All About Feasting!
Last weekend, really felt sooooo....sinful as we had been feasting on delicacies. We postponed the Mother's Day celebration for both families as we had something on the actual day.
On Saturday, we had traditional Chinese cuisine near Chinatown for my mum. All of us totalled to 13, including little Jovan and we had a great time enjoying the food. There were roast chicken, fried oyster omelette, salad prawn, herbal duck etc. Jovin enjoyed the dinner as she loved the prawns and omelette, whereas little Jovan was happily sleeping in the pram after his milk feed. Mum looked satisfied and we presented her with presents after evrything. After dinner, we proceeded to my sis's place. Of course, the kids were the happiest as they get to go wild in the playground and enjoyed playing water in the bath tub after they returned from the playground. We were so amused by Jovin's attire as she didn't have spare clothing and she ended up wearing Chrus's t-shirt which looked like a night dress for her haha. James had his fair share of play with Chris and Jerad on Playstation, whereas I had a chat with sis as she helped me to feed Jovan. It was a night full of family warmth. Looking forward to our next extended family gathering.
On Sun afternoon, we went to Carlton Hotel for dim sum. Well, having 2 kids is not easy. As such, we were late hehe cos we need to bathe and dress them up, takes more time indeed. The food was good and Jovin had her noodles and loved the egg tart so much that she finished the whole tart by herself! Jovan was sleeping throughout and only woke up when we were ending the meal. My mother-in-law happily cuddled the 2 grandchildren and could see the glee on her face.
Well, that's mother's day and we always eat to mark the celebration. Erm, does that imply mothers are gluttons haha? But it's true indeed mothers are given more prestige than fathers. Well, at least it's true for James's family as they never celebrate my father-in-law's birthday and father's day. But I think it's unanimously agreed that mothers are truly more sacrificial towards children compared to fathers. Hehe, that's why my dear Jovin is more attached to me than James. James said he now needs to work hard and target on Jovan's love. Well hubby, work hard!
