Last long weekend, the House of 'J's had a wonderful time visiting sandy beaches at East Coast on Saturday evening, followed by visit to Resort World on Sunday.
Dear and I were cracking our brains where to bring the kids for quality family bonding moments. Thought that our kids love sand castle building, so we decided to mae full use of their sand tools and that's how we landed at East Coast. Crowd was still manageable, probably due to exam period. The kids rushed to the beach, poured out their tools and began exploring. Dear and I sat at a corner, where we could monitor the kids, fed the kids with some finger food and we too joined them for some fun as we brought them nearer the water, and the 4 of us had fun kicking and splashing one another with water haha....
After all the fun, we continued our endless fun the next day at Resort World! Have never been there since it's opening last year. So we decided to make a trip there in our newly bought Angry Bird Family Tee! We saw the great and magnificent USS which people have been raving about but we didn't visit USS as the kids are too young to enjoy the rides. Nonetheless, we still had a great time while touring outside USS and took photos from the outside area, creating the impression we've entered, haha! We felt like tourists once again in our own country! But really felt RW is somewhat a replica of Genting's First World Plaza, even Jovin spotted the similarity!
There were great image spots and mascots going around. Our little 'J's were so excited whenever they saw one like Hershey's chocolate, Peeks etc. We brought them to Candy Empire and the kids were thrilled when they saw the mini trolleys and each of them pulled one, pushing here and there in the shop. Oh my, we really had to follow them closely fearing they might just bump into others.
We later ventured into Hard Rock Cafe. It's my usual 'trait' to buy a T-shirt for whenever I visit a Hard Rock Cafe, so I naturally bought one too from our own homeland :) The kids got free ballons, ran around and posed wherever there's opportunities. We didn't realise it was already around 6pm as we decided to leave. Intially wanted to go Sentosa, but decided to leave it for another day and returned to Vivo City instead.
At Vivo, we bought the kids for great water fun. Dear had a good rest, taking care of our belongings, while I followed my little dearest as they chased each other in the water, and even lay down completely since they knew that I had an extra change of clothes for them.
The best part of enjoyment especially for Jovan, was that he saw his great idol, Ben-10's statue placed at Toysrus! He was sooooo elated and posed several photos beside his greatest idol. The weekend was fun-filled and well spent with our little 'J's.
Children's smiles are really the greatest presents and consolation on earth that warms parents' hearts. Now I fully comprehend the true meaning of this statement.
