Last Saturday was the 7th day of lunar new year i.e ren ri. We had 2 lou hei sessions on the very day. In the afternoon, James's colleagues paid us a visit & we had the first round. We ordered pizza & takeaway yu sheng. All of us were happily doing the lou hei, including Jovin. I held the chopsticks with her & she did the lou hei too. She was so happy that she couldn't help stop giggling. The colleagues were very interested to view our wedding DVD as most of them missed our wedding 2 years ago. The most captivating scene was James's Hawaiian dance during the dinner. They burst out into laughter & kept replaying the scene. The highlight was, they even urged James to do a live one for them. Haha, can't forget the hilarious sight!
We wrapped off the session with the usual poker card session. It was a fun afternoon well spent.
The 2nd part of lou hei was with my family. We went to a restaurant near Yio Chu Kang. The place was fully packed. Luckily, we made a reservation beforehand. To me, the dishes were just average but it's the cosiness & blissfulness of being with our beloved ones that make the meal special. After dinner, all came to my place. We played blackjack with my parents. Haha, to think the winner was my dear niece Crystal. She was grinning from ear to ear. My sis's family stayed overnite at our place as we had a mahjong session. It started from 11a.m ( after settling Jovin to sleep) till 4a.m! Sigh, I lost but it's to my hubby! So, no need to pay, hehe.......
This year, really had so much lou hei sessions, but this annual thingy is real fun & it's really a blessing to be able to enjoy lou hei with your loved ones.......
