Day 2 - 8 Feb 08
This year, due to my advanced pregnancy, we are officially excused from visiting James's grandmother's place as hers is a 3 room flat and all the relatives are expected to crowd there. It would be difficult and inconvenient for me to move around in my cumbersome state. We had a relaxing day today. We woke up at 11a.m, really had a good rest after the 1st day of rushing around. However, we still had plans for the day i.e visit my parents officially. We changed Jovin into her next suit of CNY dress and dressed her up with her favourite hairclips. We reached their place around 3p.m and were supposed to meet my siblings there as well. Mum suggested all of us visit our eldest uncle since it's a rare opportunity all of us are gathered together. Well, there were no qualms as his is a landed property hehe, at least more room for me to move around. We stayed there for quite sometime and Auntie whipped up some dishes like fried rice, noodles etc,to satisfy our hunger pangs. We took the opportunity to interact with our cousins as well whom we rarely meet except during CNY.
We proceeded for my sis's place around 7.30p.m and we had the usual family game i.e Blackjack again! The feeling of all sitting and gathering together for poker card games is really great. Sigh, tonight the biggest winners were Chrus and Crystal! They won quite a fair bit but it's a fun sight to read the expressions on the kids's face once they win or lose. Their faces really tell everything. We didn't stay for long and called the night off around 9.30p.m. This year's visiting was not so hectic as my current condition doesn't allow me too. Next 2 days, looking forward to our friends visiting our place and we being the busy hosts. So stay tuned for more updates....
