Tonite, we had a part 1 birthday celebration for our dear princess's birthday which falls on 30th Oct 08. This year, our 1st round was a mini celebration with our best couple frenz as well as our long-time pal, Ah Bao. We gathered at Marche Vivo around 7p.m. Goodness, there was such a long queue but I did a reservation beforehand so we managed to secure our seats as soon as we reached. Both our little 'Js' sat happily on the high chairs. Jovin was distracted when Tingting took out biscuits which she bought from Japan. She loved it so much that she finished 3 pieces! Jovan was lurking around the environment as we left to place our orders. Soon after, our dear little prince started to get impatient. I fed him with some mashed potato and he loved it so much and kept licking his saliva haha. That was one good way to quieten him but he was so fast that I almost couldn't keep up with his pace! With 5 adults, we still managed to control the 2 kids. Jovin was delighted when she received birthday presents from the 2 jiejies and Ah Pek. She happily tore open the wrapping paper and saw her mystery gifts! Junwei and Tingting got her 3 sets of educational games and Ah bao got our girl a comprehensive set of Barney stationery! Jovin loved it so much that she kept carrying it wherever she went.
We left Marche around 8p.m and settled for starbucks. Jovan fell asleep then and it was our great opportunity to enjoy cuppa and take a breather. Jovin happily ate the chocolate cake and started to mingle around with 2 other kids at the restaurant with her balloon from Marche. We adults had some peaceful moments and we exchanged some chats over the past trips which we enjoyed and hope to plan for short overseas trips like Taipei next year. We haven't seen Ah Bao for long too and chatted with her over her work, plans etc. It was a great link-up session with her too. Around 10p.m, we made our move and had great shots taken at star bucks. Guess we will next meet Ah Bao at X'mas gathering at Junwei's place with other CLDDS pals. As for our best couple pals, it's definite they can't tolerate the separation for so long. Guess we will next meet on 15 Nov when we are back from Tokyo. Our 2 hubbies are really inseparable..... It was a great get-together session as we celebrate our girl's 3 year old birthday with our best pals. Really cherish and value these long-time pals of ours. Really thankful to them for being so doting to our kids as well. Tomorrow will be round 2 of Jovin's borthday celebration. We are having a mini party for her which involves both families. Jovin's beloved cousins, grandparents etc will all be at our place. What's more, there will be her favourite Barney cake. Stay tuned for my next update :)
