JB Shopping

It has been almost 4 years since we last went shopping in JB. We used to love going in during weekends but this activity has ceased for long since the birth of our little precious tots. Last Wed, both James and I took leave and we decided to go JB. Both of us, as usual, decided to take public transport and make our way into JB. Well, we always abide by the principle of not driving in hehe. As a seasoned driver for years, James was full of comments on the waiting time for bus, no EZ-link etc. Well, everything was very smooth as it was a weekday and there was no human traffic congestion. It was the first time we stepped into the new Malaysian customs at Woodlands. It was real spacious and it seemed more like an airport terminal to us.

It was around 1p.m when we reached and we took the long link-bridge to City Square. We merely wanted to shop at City Square as we did not wish to tire ourselves shuffling between few shopping complexes. There were quite distinct changes to the retail shops and we had a good time browsing through the shops. We stepped into a shop which sold many cute and cartoon poster-like clocks which we decided to return when we plan to do our shifting. Bought books, shoes, accessories as usual and we got a remote-controlled mini helicopter for our kids. The helicopter is merely intended for indoor play and its maximum height is 2 stories. Guess what, Jovin really loves a lot but still needs much time and effort to learn and coordinate the controlling else, the helicopter will be short-lived haha! As for Jovan, he's still too young to appreciate, so we tend to play this secretly in the room whereas mum takes care of him in living room, hehe...

As for food, we enjoyed great desserts like boiled egg in almond, deep fried wanton, chocolate ice-cream drink at HK tea cafe at merely RM 10! Haha! As for dinner, we exhausted our RM250, thus had to dine at somewhere where there's credit card acceptance. We finally decided on 'STONE GRILL' restaurant where we ordered a couple set at RM 47.90. It consisted of well-marinated lamb, sirloin steak and chicken and we needed to grill the food on the stone slabs. My skills were really not up to par, thus had to rely on the waiter who gladly assisted us in grilling. Later part, both dear and I had fun tossing and grilling the meat but some turned out uncooked instead hehe. It was a fulfilling dinner and we left JB around 8pm.

On the return journey, both of us were really dead tired and almost forgot to alight at Kranji when we were on board 170 cos we dozed off hehe. It was a fun and rewarding short trip. We had quality couple time spent. Think this is what matters most to us :)
