On Fri nite, the eve of CNY eve, we decided to bring the kids to the nearby Chongpang market to 'taste' the feel of heat of impending CNY. After getting our new year groceries done at our NTUC downstairs, we headed for Chongpang, intially wanted to take a bus instead as we knew the car park would be very crowded. However, nonetheless we still drove there.
When we reached there, it was really bustling with people and cars. I brought Jovan down first as I wanted to buy him a new pair of shoes. Didn't realise he has outgrown his existing one till we couldn't fit one of his feet in his old shoes. Everywhere was packed but luckily our prince was very cooperative and in good mood. As he ate the sweet I gave him, he sat down on the couch as mummy tried different shoes on him. Finally, we decided on a pair of disney mickey shoes which he seems to love it a lot as he did not complain and showed rejection for the new shoes. There was once my mother in law bought him a pair of new Batman sandals but he simply refused to wear, no matter how hard we try to 'trick' him. Give up... so now that pair of brand new sandals is still lying at home, hoping Jovan will change his mind one day hehe.....
We had late dinner/supper with the kids and continued with our shopping as dear and Jovin joined us after having parked the car. Bought some new year decor and the kids were still very much energetic running around. Guess they were excited too. Everyone was grabbing the last min bargains. The kids had fun at the playground too. It was a night full of fun and play.
We went home around 11.30p.m with our bargains. Felt the CNY mood approaching.... Going to start gongxi gongxi soon.......
