Once again, we are back from our 3D2N Genting trip!This is already the third time Jovin has visited Genting since her first visit when she was merely 13 months old. However, kids are kids, they seem to have endless energy levels which we adults can never upkeep with and the theme park rides never seem to bore them out.
On 7 Jun 10, we really woke up very early so as to catch our 7.15a.m coach, Usually, it's an uphill task to wake our 2 little'J's up as they are night owls. However, that very morning, both were so cooperative and woke up as early as 5.30a.m to wash up and get themselves dressed for the trip. Jovin was actually so fearful the night before we would leave her behind if she couldn't wake up on time haha!
As usual, we took Transtar first class solitaire coach. Jovin was already very familiar with the key controls and took out her sleeping troupe of sleeping beauty bear, bolster and pillow from her Barbie luggage trolley bag. She enjoyed the kids meal and watched Mr Bean cartoon, made herself so comfortable in a comfortable lying position. As for Jovan, this time round, I was very relaxed as our dear prince is very attached to daddy, so daddy had the honour of sitting with and taking care of him throughout the trip haha while I got to sleep and enjoy movies on board the coach. However, our kids had long hours of sleep on the coach, so basically we didn't have much problems and didn't feel that 6+ hours had passed before we reached Genting.
We soon reached Genting around 2p.m and Jovan was so helpful that he insisted pulling Jovin's trolley bag as we walked to the hotel. As he was so small-sized compared to the trolley bag he was lugging, many onlookers couldn't help but take a second glance at him as he really looked so hilarious with the trolley bag around haha. When we checked into the hotel, the kids were excited as usual, exploring every corner of the room and jumping on the beds while I did the unpacking.
Soon we went out for our indoor theme park rides. Jovan was 90cm, but still spared from paying the admission fees hehe cos his height still seemed ambiguious. As it was holiday season, there were long queues for most rides but we managed to enjoy most of them.
What was different this time round was that we took the kids to the heated swimming pool where the kids had fun with daddy on the slides and water splashing and mummy was busy snapping pictures as usual. However, swimming was indeed draining as both kids were so exhausted that they could even fell asleep on the table when we ordered Macdonalds around 10.30p.m.
However, they soon woke up and we maximised our indoor tickets to the fullest till the park closed at 1a.m. We had countless fun rides on the ferris wheel, carousel rides, etc. But poor Jovin was so disappointed when she missed her favourite bumper car ride when she went to the washroom. She cried so bitterly and it took us sometime before we could calm her down. The kids were really exhausted so both fell asleep as we walked back to the hotel with our takeaway Starbucks cake and latte.
In the hotel room, dear and I enjoyed eating the cake and sipping our favourite green tea latte as our little 'J's slept. That was really heaven and relaxation for us.
The very next day, we had wanted to enter the outdoor them park earlier. However, it was raining heavily so we decided to take brunch at a dim sum restaurant and did some shopping, hoping for the rain to stop. Luckily heaven was on our side and we managed to enter the them park by 2p.m. Jovin immediately rushed for her bumper car ride which she missed the night before. This time round, Jovan was able to join Jovin in more rides like Rodeo Rider, AstroFighter, spinning tea cups etc. I took many video shots for them, hoping it will give them some pleasant recollection as they grow up in future. We stayed long at the theme park, but we were so tired that we decided to go for dinner and rest before we came in for the final rides around 9.30p.m before the park closed at 10p.m.
Jovin and Jovan enjoyed the bumper car rides as Jovin was in full control of the steering wheel and Jovan looked upon jiejie. The second night, the kids seemed to be more energetic and they continued to create havoac in the hotel room dancing and hopping around, doing massage for daddy and mummy, pillow fighting between boys and girls and pretending to call each other using the phones in the bathroom and bedside. All these lasted till around 1a.m before we turned in for the night.
On the last day, we spent the last few hours in the games arcade centre till we utilised all the tokens. The kids even continued to play even though there were no more tokens haha! In all, it was a fun and enjoyable trip, especially for our little 'J's. Seeing the happy looks on their faces tell us that all is worth it :)
