All Because of......PASSPORT PHOTO!

We intended to bring Jovin to do up her passport. As such, we thought we could just take her photo & modify it accordingly to the required dimensions & pixel. Sigh, all were futile attempts. We've taken at least 20 over shots but look at the results? The above were only so called the better ones! Conclusion? Spend $ to bring her for the actual passport photo taking. Waste of time & effort. Grrrr......

Missing Jovin Dearly From KL......

James & I 'abandoned' Jovin for a 3D2N trip to KL.During the last 2 nites when Jovin was not around, I missed her dearly & kept looking at her photo. James commented I was going crazy over Jovin soon. We called my mother-in-law once we reached there & she told us Jovin was crying badly at nite. My poor girl, she has always slept with us since birth. I believe she couldn't get used to staying overnight at elsewhere without us. My heart really pinned for her day & nite. Nevertheless, it was a great short break for James & I. We did much shopping this time round till James complained his legs were cracking & drained of energy. Our shopping cart included 85% Jovin's stuff, 10% of my stuff & the remaining goes to James. Haha! See the gigantic bib she's wearing now? Came across this at one of the shops in KL. Hehe, this really saves me from lots of clearing up during her meal-times. Good buy! Oh yes, Jovin gave me such a great surprise as I cuddled her once I went to fetch her from my in-laws, her 2 bottom teeth have erupted! Hehe, she really looks so cute now!
It's really difficult emotionally to travel without Jovin, but on separate thoughts, we do need private moments at times too. So we will still stick to couple & family travelling plans:) Taiwan will be our next stop in Aug & we will bring Jovin to Genting to celebrate Jovin's birthday as well as our 3rd wedding anniversary :)

Sun get-Together!

It was indeed a Sun evening well spent. We haven't met James's SMU pals since Chinese New Year. All thks to Bernard & Guimei who made this small get-together possible tonite. Hehe, we were the last to arrive at Lemongrass cos I had to finish feeding Jovin, resulting in some delay. They were so thrilled to see Jovin & were appalled to see she has grown so much. One of the most interesting highlights of the nite was Krist. Haha, I've never seen him so 'ganjiong' before. His image portrayed in my mind was a muscular & handsome chap who never fails to attract gals's attention. But sorry to say, Krist, impression changed overnite, haha. He was happily pushing Jovin in the pram until his hands & legs turned jelly at the traffic junction. There was a small kerb & he didn't know if he could just push the pram downwards, afraid it would hurt Jovin. With the pressure of 'green man' at the junction, he panicked. Hehe, luckily I was there to 'save' him. From the way he adores Jovin, I can sense he will be a good husband & father in future. Em, wonder who will the lucky gal be?
We had dessert at TCC after dinner. It was a great hangout corner, but really freezing cold. See the shots taken at TCC? Everyone was kidding, years down the road, we will see more of the little kids booming out. When will the day arrive? Still waiting.......
It's Sat again! We went to Seiyu Bugis Junction & managed to buy many cute little clothings for our little darling Jovin. The sale was rather worthwhile as many of the Disney clothings were on 30% sale, quite a bargain. My dear James commented I used to rush into ladies department during such sales but ever since we've had Jovin, our first station is always babies department :) We left for my mum's place at Bishan after the eventful shopping. We planned to stay over there as we had earlier arranged for a midnite show 'DA VINCCI CODE' with Junwei & Tingting. Our little darling would be well taken care by my mum, hehe. Actually, really grateful to have both my mum & in law's support. That's why James & I could still relish our 'paktor' moments. We thought Jovin was sound asleep when we reached home around 2a.m. My gosh, she woke up the moment she saw us, though I knew she was tired from the way she kept yawning & rubbing her eyes. She just wanted me to pat her to sleep. Hugging & cuddling her into sleep is the ever best comfort I could ever ask for........

My First Mother's Day!

This is my first Mother's Day & I really feel exceptionally different about it. Though Jovin is only 6.5 months old, I could strongly feel the sense of motherly love within me. It was a simple celebration with James & Jovin. We had a simple dinner at Kampong Days restaurant in Causeway Point followed by some shopping. Luckily we were early, so could still locate a seat for the 3 of us. Having joined the mummies club for barely 6.5 months, what I could only say is Motherly Love is indeed great. Personally, I feel mothers really do sacrifice much more than daddies. Perhaps that's why we see all the advertising gimmicks are more spiced up during Mother's than Father's Day huh? There's no carnations, no presents from my little one but her innocent look & laughter is the best Mother's Day present I could ever ask for. She has grown very emotionally attached to me just these few days. There's a distinct indication of closeness towards me. She rushes towards me in her walker & yearns for my hug as I fetch her after work. This is the greatest consolation after my work everyday.
To all mummies in this world, you are the greatest & you are definitely irreplaceable in your children's hearts.

Happy Mother's Day, especially to my dearest mummy & mummy-to-be friends!
