Bustling July!

July has been such a hectic month for me. Apart from house renovation, I was bogged down from the intense rehearsal sessions for my school's musical concert. Well, u may be wondering how on earth I'm involved right? Cos I'm part of the Aesthetics committee and I'm the soul of the entire concert. I play the major role as the stage manager. Kudos to the great team of colleagues and my fantastic students. The success of a performance is always dependent upon the relentless effort and coordination from all parties. Finally, we did it last Saturday. Though we were exhausted from all the late evenings, we finally pulled off the whole show smoothly! Dear even brought the kids along to my school to support the production. Thks dear for the great support.



After which, though tired, I still made time for my dearest family. We headed for IKEA as we needed to get some kitchen accessories and decor for the new place. The kids had fun sitting on the trolley and as usual, we ended the shopping spree with our favourite cheap and good hot dog buns!

 July has really been so hectic but I know August is already packed with important events regardless private or school. Already received numerous 'arrows' on the upcoming Mother Tongue fornight programme. In the midst of working on National Day cheer and a simple carnival games booth with my form class...... However, I really feel so much happier as I cherish the invaluable time and effort spent on the students. Guess the calling is really for me. Haha... Dear commented I am really much happier these days compared to my last job.

Of course, next month marks the end of our renovations and all my furniture would be coming in. Hurray! Not forgetting meet-ups with our great pals like JC buddies and going for ice-cream sessions for our little ones with our best couple pals. Excitement ahead........In great anticipation.........

Our Nest is Developing!

Our family nest is currently under development stage. As it's so near mum's place, every now and then, we pop by the nest to track on its progress. Really so excited over our new nest. 1 more month to go and we are ready!

A sneak preview of the current state. Of course, things are gonna be so different once all is done. Really kudos to the hardworking team of reno workers. Counting down to our new apartment!

Happy Birthday, dear Chrus!

Last weekend, we had a cosy and heartwarming birthday celebration for our nephew Chrus. Mum, our great chef, whipped up the great homemade delicacies for us and sis topped it up with a vast array of sushi selection. A great birthday feast indeed!



The 5 kids were really elated. It has been quite sometime since they gathered together due to different school dismissal timings. The 5 had fun with their Bey-Blades. Chrus's birthday present from us was the brand new Bey-Blade set and it was so powerful that he emereged the winner for most games. Of course, that caused 'rivalry' among the kids. Our dear Jovin was angry and upset that her Bey-Blade kept losing and resorted to daddy's help haha.

The celebration ended with a great blast as we sang the birthday song and all the kids blew out Chrus's candles! That night, I had a great chat with my dearest niece, Crystal as well. Suddenly realised I've indeed aged as the teenage girl sitting in front of me whom I've been taking care since birth has now matured and grown so much. However, she remains very close to me all these years and she even chooses to confide in me at times compared to her mum. That's communication........



I always count myself blessed to be surrounded by family warmth. Looking very much forward to my dad's birthday in August......

It's showtime!

For the past 2 weekends, House of 'J's were busy entertained with 2 movies i.e Amazing Spiderman & Ice Age 4. This was the first time Jovan got his official seat entitlement too. He's now 100cm and there's really no way we could 'smuggle' him into the theatre hehe...



We were surprised the kids were able to sit through the shows, especially for Jovan. Spiderman was slightly longer exceeding 2 hours. Although he started to fidget towards the last segment, he was drawn to the last fighting scenes. Boys love Spiderman and girls prefer Ice Age. This is indeed true for our precious pair of darlings.

In the past, we used to occupy a pair of couple seats. Now, our kids have become our next better halves in the couple seats haha. The feeling of happily munching on popcorns together with our kids is indeed what we call family blissfulness.

We next target on the movie 'BRAVE', but still undecided if we should go ahead once it screens in August. Anyway, movie dates is another great way to bond us together.

Jovin's first tooth extraction!

Last Friday was a nightmare for our princess. At her age, many kids' teeth have started to fall one by one. But for Jovin, perhaps her teeth condition is too good, only 1 tooth fell off by itself so far. After we returned from Taiwan, I realised one of her front new tooth is erupting, yet the milk tooth is still as solid as ever. We initially brought Jovin to a private dentist before school reopens, but the dentist advised against extracting her tooth by force as she's still too young to use anesthetic.

So we waited till school reopens and told Jovin to visit the school dentist herself. However, our dear princess kept procrastinating fearing the extraction process. So dear decided to drive her to school last Friday and brought her to the dentist personally. Outcome? Our dear princess had to extract her milk front tooth by force, else the new tooth will not have enough room to grow. According to dear, Jovin held on so tightly to dear's hands when the dentist carried out th extraction. But she didn't cry, bravo!

After that, dear accompanied our dear princess till assembly time. Jovin's classmates showed much concern for her as they saw Jovin biting cotton wool in her mouth, unable to speak. Seeing Jovin settled down in the hall, dear then waved goodbye and left school.

At dismissal time, we went to fetch our princess. She was elated when she saw us. Thought she couldn't eat but guess what? She said she bought noodles for recess and was yearning to eat when she saw us. So, all was over! At night, she jotted down her first tooth extraction experience in her diary. It was indeed a scary experience for our princess. This was one of her sentences " I was very afraid of going to the dentist, so when I got there, I almost cried."

I'm proud of my little darling princess. I even kept the tooth to add onto my darling's 'FIRST' collections. I believe, all these items will serve as cherishable keepsake memories down the many years ahead.
