Family Vacation!

We had spent a fulfilling 3D2N from Mon - Wed at NSRCC chalet with my family members. This is the second time since our last stay in May 07. Last year, the biggest difference is the addition of Jovan! We checked in around 2p.m on Mon and to our great surprise, the chalet was just newly renovated and everything looks so clean and well-maintained! The 5 kids almost went wild and crazy. They threw their belongings onto the floor and started rolling and running around while we adults started to unpack. Mummy was always the dearest as she immediately prepared the ingredients for porridge so that the kids will have their nutritious dinner. It was raining rather heavily so the kids couldn't swim. We decided to bring them to the bowling centre instead. Well, mum stayed behind with Jovan and of course, Jovin is too young to play the game too. In the end, Crystal, Chrus and my brother played but Jerad had a taste of carrying the 6 pounds ball too.

We settled for dinner at Jumbo to mark the combined birthday celebration of my mum and Crystal. Food is as good as usual. We gave crabs a miss for once and ordered scallops, prawns etc. All of us loved the dishes that we even ordered a second helping of the same dish! The climax came when we sand birthday song for the 2 ladies and my mum was grinning from ear to ear looking so blissful with all her grandchildren. We took a stroll towards the indoor playground and the whole place was ours haha! The 4 kids went wild and enjoyed to the fullest as Jovan slept in the pram. Mum also joined in the fun as she sat on the see saw with all 4 of them!

The next day, we woke up early and went for a dip in the pool. It was early at 8.30a.m and the whole baby pool was ours again! Jovan had his first taste of water playing and he loved the feeling of shooting with the water pistol as my dad carried him along. Jovin was very happy as she ran round the pool in her newly bought cute pinkish strawberry swimsuit. The kids happily splashed water onto one another and Jovan was playing with the water from time to time and I was surprised he did not cry even when he was splashed! My brave little boy!

In the afternoon, we went for lunch at Parkway Parade and the kids had WII games, water balloon playing, sand meddling etc in the noon. James and my brother accompanied the kids while we ladies took a breather in the air-conditioned chalet. I had much fun having WII to myself and playing cooking mama! Haha!

For dinner, we went to East Coast Shi Nai Hong Kong Tea restaurant and we ordered so much food. The food was reasonably priced, average taste though. After dinner, the kids had their fun on the mobile car and carousel rides but Jovan was a bit fearful so the 4 kids occupied the whole ride to themselves as we adults kept pumping in dollar coins to satisfy the 4. Of course, to round up, we adults had our fair share of enjoyment in mahjong game too and of course, my brother ended up as the winner again.

It was a good family bonding session for us and we have decided to make this an annual year end event so James or I will make advance booking to secure our desired slot for next year. Perhaps we will increase the stay to 4D3N next round so that the kids can have a longer enjoyment period. Always love such bonding sessions with my family. Our next family gathering will be my place for X'mas celebration on 27th Dec. The kids would be in for a present treat again! Looking forward to the upcoming festivals!
