We've just had a cosy family post x'mas celebration at my place. This is one of our annual highlights ever since 2005. My family members came around 7p.m and we settled for an easy yet sumptous dinner at the coffee shop below my block. We ordered the normal dishes like claypot beancurd, fried omelette with minced meat, fried kang kong etc. The kids loved the omelette the most and little Jovin ate so much as she loved her favourite omelette. Jovan was very cooperative throughout the dinner as he sat on the baby chair happily munching his teether.
After dinner, all proceeded to my place. The kids, as usual, ransacked my entire toys room, played musical chairs etc. We, the adults were in the living room enjoying aircon, watching TV and chatting away. Our dessert was a home-made Oreo chocolate cake by my niece Crystal and some durian/chocolate and mango puffs which I've bought. The cake was a good attempt and we praised Crystal on her good efforts. At least, we finished almost the whole loaf!
Soon after, the kids had their much anticipated gift exchange time. Jovin was happily tearing the wrapping papers apart and was happy to receive mostly Barney related presents. Jovan was still too young to appreciate though and was crawling here and there. The kids were happy with the presents we've bought them and it was a great get-together session. Crystal and Chrus, as usual, decided to stay for the night and we had a wonderful bonding session after all the others left home. I look forward to the next gathering we are having on 31st Dec at my sis's place for countdown! Yippie!
