The kids were finally over and done with their mid-year exams. Last Sun, my family went to East Ocean Teochew restaurant for dim-sum brunch. Luckily we made a reservation cos the place was fully packed that I hardly saw any vacant tables around! We were late as usual. Sis and parents have already started the spread when we reached. I asked where the menu was and sis said they happily ordered as the waitresses just came along with the dim sum items that they didn't even bother with the menu, not to mention about pricing haha! So we followed suit and th table had endless flow of dim sum streaming in. Jovin loved the crispy egg tarts but she only take the egg and left the tarts to daddy and mummy. Wicked her.... Jovan surprisingly rejected egg tart and gave a very hilarious expression that mum couldn't stop laughing. Couldn't figure out why he didn't fancy egg tarts which are so crispy and smell heavenly... Almost the usual stuff were all ordered with several repeated orders. Jovan was still cooperative as mum gave him rice rolls, malay steamed cake and he was fiddling with the kiddy spoons and bowls.
After the fulfilling meal, we decided to go for some shopping with the 5 kids. All went wild when they were at Isetan and Taka's toys sections. We adults split ourselves into teams looking after them. All 5 enjoyed one another's company so much and it has been real long since we came out together SHOPPING cos it's really an ardous and almost impossible tasking. We bought bubble toy gun for our little 'Js' and some beautiful toy storage boxes before leaving around 4+. The kids were dead tired and dozed off in the car while my poor hubby had to be a kind soul to drive us back home. Mum was very happy last Sun as she always loves the idea of all of us constantly by her side with her 5 precious grandchildren. We look forward to our next family birthday gathering which should be my nephew Chrus's 10th birthday in Jul :)
