From JC mates since 1994, we got to know one another. Upon graduation, we continued with our gatherings and that's how our bonding continues. From singles, we welcomed one another's other halves, attended one another's wedding dinner, followed by attending their baby showers one after another. Most of us are now parents and this is the precious friendship that dear and I have established with our JC CLDDS mates for a well 17 YEARSSSS!
Every year without fail, we arrange to meet for X'mas and CNY gatherings. This year, we have the honour to host our favourite long-time pals. A total of 8 adults and 6 kids! Our force is really expanding year by year...
As usual, we had our pot-luck party. Our little 'J's helped us readily by arranging the kiddy table settings and I rewarded them with a lollipop each and they were full of smiles. Soon after, our dear pals arrived with their dishes. Fried nuggets, fried rice, chicken wings, our fried bee hoon, fish balls, sausages and of course our favourite X'mas logcake by dear Auntie Bao!
The kids had fun at the toys room. Most of us had time to ourselves exchanging talks and updating one another on our latest info. The kids entertained themselves with all they could explore like LEGO, kitchen set etc. Jovin and Chloe, being the only 2 girls, went into another corner and played gentler games and activities like Barbie dolls and craft work.
This year, I made a special effort and placed the names of all into the special mini colourful X'mas boots hanging on the X'mas tree. All of us chose one name each and had our gift exchange session! Hmmmm, dear and Junwei are always so fated cos Dear got Junwei's name!
We managed to capture an all girls shot but when it comes to the guys turn, we ended up only with dear and Junwei, the 2 inseparable onessss....
It was a night full of enjoyment and fun. We really cherish the long-lasting friendship ties with this group of old-time pals. They are our matchmakers who witnessed the love between dear and me and of course our little 'J's. Thks my dear pals for being so insistent then, else I would not have ended up with a wonderful hubby and a pair of lovely little 'J's. I believe our friendship would last through our next generation.
Cheers, AJ CLDDS 94/95!
