Exclusive Family Bonding Moments....

Since 2007, without fail, we have been organising annual family short getaways during year end. This year, we decided to take Aloha Loyang chalet since I get to enjoy exclusive concessionary rates and the place was newly renovated this Jul. Most importantly, the chalet is really very huge according to much feedback, so we decided to opt for it.





We checked in on Boxing Day i.e 26 Dec. Brother and I first checked in and we were really astonished when we saw the chalet as it was really huge and spacious. We booked a sea view double-storey terrace. The place was just like a mini community club and the kids were of course crazy over the place, running and climbing up and down the stairs. There were 4 bedrooms with double beds in all. Rooms, kitchen etc. were all fully furnished. Our chalet was very near the swimming pool, beach, basketball court, bicycle kiosk etc. While I was busy unpacking, brother was busy with washing the kitchen utensils, boiling the water etc. dear was the main care-giver as we waited for sis and parents to join us.



The kids ran out of patience soon and we took them to the nearby swimming pool. Our little 'J's had fun with Jerad and the best part of it was, Jovan needn't stay in the float for the first time and he could walk freely in the pool with his water pistol as the pool was only 0.5m! Haha. Soon after, sis soon joined us. The 5 monsters gathered together with my dad and had a great pool time at Waikiki pool.



After swimming, we continued with ball games and catching with the kids. Then after a good shower, we drove to the nearby food centre for our all-time favourite zi-ca food. As we waited for the food to be served, mum , the shopping queen took her time to do window shopping at the nearby central. The kids entertained themselves with games and our dear Jovan was preoccupied with I-phone games as usual.
Perhaps all of us were too famished, so we grabbed and gobbled the food in no time. To think we ordered all large portions of almost 8-10 dishes. We really acted like food scavengers then.



After dinner, we continued with bubble games and of course, the kids long-awaited WII session while the adults started our mahjong session! Our dear ah-ma even cooked noodles for all as supper. First time we realised plain noodles could even be so tasty at 12a.m haha!





The next day, our programmes were all lined up with sand playing, kite flying, party poopers bicycle riding, hide-and-seek, water bombs, cards playing and again, swimming! Our lunch was settled by our dearest ah-ma who prepared fried rice for the adults and porridge for the kids. Mummies are always the greatest!



The second night, we strolled all the way to Downtown East. We enjoyed the evening breeze, chatted along the way. A real good exercise for all of us and the kids tried to fly their kites as we walked in the park.



We brought the kids to X'plorer Kids and I signed up memebership for our little 'J's since the membership could last till they reach 12 years old, which is still years ahead and we thought this would be more worthwhile. Only dear and I accompanied the 5 of them into the play area and they had fun in the huge maze playground. Dear and I acted as catchers and chased aftert the kids in the caterpillar land, they swirled and screamed to their fullest at the ball pool. Totally enjoyable moments for the 5!



The 3D2N chalet was a wonderful stay which all of us loved it tremendously. The kids told me to book for 4D3N next year so that the fun could last longer haha. Could see that parents enjoyed the stay too. Dad swimmed with the kids, played water bombs with them. Mum prepared food for us, fed the kids, played with the kids. Most importantly, all of us had ample bed space since there were 4 bedrooms, just nice for all of us!



We look forward to our return to Aloha Loyang chalet, probably we should seriously consider BBQ next round :)
