A Day Out in the East!

The House of 'Js' ventured towards the east on Hari Raya holiday. Well, it's not because we wanted to spend extra $ on mileage & fuel hehe. Actually, I was there to run an errand for Jovin's birthday party this Sun. As we were already in the area, James & I decided to shop at Tampines Mall since we hardly ever go there. It's really a buzzling shopping centre. We parked at Century Square & had an early dinner at a Chinese restaurant called 'BI FENG TANG'. While Jovin had her own specially prepared TLC (Tender Loving Care) porridge by mummy, James & I enjoyed the dishes like Sweet & Sour Pork with Lychee, Dumpling Soup, Fried Rice & Prawn Salad. The food was tasty & of reasonable pricing. Jovin, as usual, was busy waving to other patrons & the waitresses. Really think this girl takes after Mummy's outgoing & sociable nature from her friendliness towards others :)

Well, the shops are pretty much similar to other malls, but there's this KIDZ REPLUBIC which carries brands of Precious Moments, Forever Friend Bears etc. I really have a soft spot for Precious Moments (PM) & the discount tag of 20% sale triggered me to buy another PM T-Shirt for my princess again, can't help it. We bought some tim sum from the basement level & the food was great. There were many stalls at the food basement level which are not so commonly found in other places. We decided we should come by to shop at Tampines Mall another day.

We went home around 8+ & a pleasant surprise was in store for us. We happened to meet another couple whom we got accquainted through our US honeymoon last Mar. They also have a 7 mth old boy now & he looks so chubby, almost twice the size of our petite Jovin. Time really flies. We were still a honeymooning couple when we got to know each other. Now we are all promoted to parents! Believe as time passes by, our focus of conversation with our friends would be centred upon our next generation. Time to admit we are old.........Nevertheless, I'm contented to have a happy family with a stable career. To me, this is bliss.

House of 'Js'

OUR PAST........

Both James & I got hitched through a JC song performance when we were 18. Despite small hiccups along the way, never did we expect this relationship to work out well. After 10 years of courtship, our solemnisation took place on 8 Nov 03 followed by customary wedding on 16 Jan 05. God bestowed upon us Little Jovin on 30 Oct 05 and subsequently Little Jovan on 28 Feb 08. The birth of our prince and princess marks a remarkable change in our lives. From now on, FOUR BECOMES ONE!

OUR PRESENT........

From couplehood, we subsequently learnt how to manage a '3rd' party in our lives. Managed to scrape through as new parents learning how to change diapers, bathing newborn, manage messy shitting etc. However, Princess Jovin brought us so much happiness. 2 yrs 4 months later, Prince Jovan was born and we learnt how to 'escape' from his mini fountain haha! Having a boy and a girl forms a '好' . We feel very blessed and fortunate to have the 2 little 'Js' in our lives. Derive greatest pleasure from playing with our 2 kids now!

OUR FUTURE.........

In parenthood, we wish for everlasting happiness and best of health for our dearest kids.

JOVIN

2013 has passed and Jovin is now 'promoted' to P3 in the morning session! Looking back at 2013, Jovin has managed her academic and enrichment class requirements pretty well. This year, Jovin got to learn to manage challenging demands from school work considering long hours of afternoon stay back sessions, new subject Science and Maths tution at Mind Stretcher. She continues with her Art and CL speech and drama class at Hokkien Huay Kuan as that's where her interest lies. Starting this year, she will receive specialised training in public concert drama performance in the Huay Kuan and taking EL speech and drama as her CCA in the school! Truly my daughter following my footsteps! In 2014, we wish for Jovin performing better grades in her Maths, be more proactive in academics, stay confident as she has always been in stage performances. Lastly, stay happy and healthy forever in the year of Horse. Gallop gallop far and high, dearest Princess Jovin!

JOVAN

Jovan is now a 'senior' in his school! He is in his final year in Kindergarten in 2014. Last year, we just switched him to the new school due to moving house. Sadly to say, he needs to be adjusted to another learning environment despite the last year in his pre-school, reason being the previous school has been converted into a full-day child care centre. So our dearest boy is enrolled under the same wing, but at another nearby school few blocks away from the intial one. Jovan seems to be adapting well after the 1st 2 days and truly hope this will remain throughout the rest of his schooling days here. Jovan has started on his P1 prep class since Dec 2013, same as Jovin in Mind Stretcher! We are glad to see him writing sentences, numerals, learning simple grammar like 'has, have'. Most importantly, he loves the teacher! Jovan, too continues with his Art and CL speech and drama class like Jovin. This year, we look forward to his debut CL performance at Huay Kuan in Nov 2014. Looking forward to seeing a confident Jovan on stage. In 2014, we wish to see Jovan practising better hygiene ( less of eating fingernails!!), develop better anger management skills, enjoy all his lessons and stay happy and healthy always! Dearest Prince Jovan, gallop high and far in 2014!

THE 2 OF US

In romance, we wish for ever-lasting love and passion in our relationship. We want our kids to feel the love between daddy and mummy too and gradually, it has become a must by our kids for daddy and mummy to kiss before sleep every night. So sweet.....

In career, we wish for stability and of course, more $$$ keep rolling in but more family time for our kids, especially for dear.

House of 'Js' will stay and bind closely forever as one. Our prince and princess would always remain as our source of motivation in whatever daddy and mummy do. Everlasting happiness for us.............
