Today marks the final part of Jovin's 4 year old birthday celebration. It was a mini but cosy meal with our best pals since JC days. They are none other than our best couple pals Junwei/Tingting and Baoling. They have been our closest pals ever since JC days and hanged out with us most often since schooling, courtship, marriage and eventually now since the addition of kids.
This year, we have a new addition, Kaden, who joined in the celebration. We had a late lunch at Waraku at Marina Square. Hehe, initially arranged to meet at 1.30p.m but James and I went in circles, had difficulty in locating the place as I couldn't remember the location, only recalled the food was good.
We were the last hehe, so paiseh and realised they had some problems in locating the place too. We ordered set meals and ala-carte. Ordered a udon kids meal set for Jovin which came with a beauty free toy kit for Jovin! Kaden was sleeping in the pram and Jovan was entertained by ribena sweets, chawamushi, bean curd etc. Jovin loved the ebi fry and she was more interested in her side dish compared to the udon main dish. In the end, James and I had to finish the udon for her.
After the meal, Jovin requested to take photos and her beloved uncle and aunties gave her very big presents that's almost beyond her reach! Little Jovan received a toy from the ever-doting Uncle and Auntie Lim. Jovin was very excited and kept lugging the 2 big presents walking here and there. Luckily, it was off-peak hours, thus we had the luxury to allow the kids to roam around. The kids sat down to unwrap the presents.
Jovin got a Hello Kitty sticker and card machine as well as the accessories set where there are pretty coloured beans and pearls. Hmmm, guess this is more for mummy? Hope I have time when I clear leave in Dec and do up some nice necklaces and bracelets for Jovin.
During photo time, it was really no easy feat to get the 3 kids cooperate. Either Jovan gets cranky, or Jovin refused to look at the camera, or Kden might be looking elsewhere too. It was really tough getting the final group photo. Hehe, so u would notice the not so cooperative expressions on the kids for some shots.
It was a great gathering after all and we always made it a point annually to celebrate our kids birthday with our dearest and closest friends so that the kids would know who have been so doting towards them since young. We look forward to our next gathering in X'mas when we would meet the rest of CLDDS member too. Big crowd is anticipated should all turn up. This finally marks the end of Jovin's birthday celebration for 2009. It was a success and I'm sure Jovin loves it as she has received so many great presents. Thks to all who really dote on our kids so much. James and I are really blessed to have great support from friends and relatives :)
